Art Is For Everyone

Artistic expression is a vital part of the human experience, and everyone should have access to the tools and support necessary to explore their own artistic voice.

At 4ARTSAKE, we provide free workspace to artists, affordable classes and workshops, and access to the supplies and hardware needed to make art in a wide variety of disciplines and mediums.

The Myth of the “Artist Class”

The way that our society often talks about making art is that it is a luxury reserved for the wealthy, when the truth is that all humans are inherently artists, and that with encouragement and access to resources everyone has something beautiful worth expressing.

Another myth is that artistic expression is worthless if it is not montizable. Our belief is that creation is its own reward, and that all forms of artistic expression have inherent and immeasurable value, even when making art for art’s sake.

Artists Shouldn’t Be Expected To Work For Free

Every aspect of the modern age is led by art. Everything from streaming television to social media content, billboards to pop-up ads, our phone cases to the clothes we wear on our bodies, all of it was conceptualized, developed, and designed by talented artists work in any number of fields. Because so much art is distributed and shared for free, many people think that necessary art and design should be produced for free, and that leads to the exploitation of new and developing artists.

It is not necessary to sell art to be an artist, but for the folks who want to make a living marketing their skills to companies and private parties, we offer a wide variety of services, including help with: building out a portfolio; setting artist rates; client acquisition; managing deadlines; presenting finished works.

Every Step of the Journey

We aim to help every artist who walks through our doors, regardless of where they are on their own unique path forward.

Whether you want to sharpen your skills, meet like-minded people, begin marketing yourself as a freelance artist-for-hire, or even take your first step with an intro class or two, we are here to help you meet your artistic goals.
