4ARTSAKE is a Portland-based nonprofit dedicated to providing Education, Resources, Guidance, Opportunities, and Exposure to beginning and developing artists in the Pacific Northwest.
As an organization, we value Creativity, Community, and Collaboration. We believe wholeheartedly in the old adage “If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together.” As such, our main focus is on group projects that prioritize Hands-On Experience, Collaboration, and Shareable Finished Work.
Art is the expression of the human experience.
OUR CURRENT PROJECTS
WUNK Magazine Project
In Q4 of 2026, 4ARTSAKE will be releasing our first issue of WUNK, a counter and excess culture magazine focused on artists from the Pacific Northwest. This project will include fiction, poetry, satire, photography, gonzo journalism, comics, collage, paintings, and a bunch of other stuff, all as a showcase of independent and D.I.Y. artists living and working throughout the region.
Contributing artists maintain ownership of all submitted and accepted pieces. If your piece(s) are accepted for WUNK, 4ARTSAKE has the right to publish and distribute the accepted work, and the ability to use contributed pieces to market the project, but we claim no ownership of anyone else’s art.
We are aiming to have our first issue of the magazine published in November 2026.

OUR RECENT SUCCESSES
TOUCH ART
TOUCH ART was a free, public event celebrating a wide range of artists, from painters and printmakers to interpretive dancers and fire-spinners, that we hosted on September 24th with Watershed PDX.
At the event we exhibited the work of 43 visual artists, had testimonials from Tabor Dance and Jaja, and hosted a live panel with Portland City Council member Jamie Dunphy, Multnomah County Commissioner Shannon Singleton, and Meara McLaughlin, the Founder of Music Oregon.

The Famous Painter : A Comedy
The Famous Painter was an original play from MILLIONS & MILLIONS, starring, Richard Cohn-Lee, Megan Gotz, Colin Keating, Kelly Love, and Cris Villa.
Filled with sharp wit, stinging insults, and back-handed compliments galore, this brand new play written and directed by Riley Parker is about five people who come together at a party to discuss love, art, work, and their personal reputations, all while disaster inches ever-closer, threatening to destroy at least one of the attendee’s life as they know it.
The Famous Painter was produced in collaboration with The Historic Goldsmith Blocks, and 4ARTSAKE.
PEEP SHOW was a multi-discipline pop-up art showcase, featuring a collection of talented visual artists from Portland and beyond (painters, illustrators, collage artists, and photographers) with work centered around intimacy, erotica, and the human body.
Contributing Artists Include : Spencer Winans (painter), Erin Tietz (photographer), Drew Tietz (illustrator), Ellen Blazich (painter), Ro Hebert (painter), Cris Villa (collage artist), Guppy (illustrator), Lloyd Daylight (Painter), Devin Vincent (illustrator), Hannah Morgan (illustrator), Zach Werbalowsky (painter), and Riley Parker (painter).
PEEP SHOW was curated by 4ARTSAKE in collaboration with Mudd Palace Gallery.

For many Portland creatives, the tools and hardware necessary to make art can be too expensive, and ultimately inaccessible. Our teams are always accepting film equipment, computers, music gear, and visual art supplies including paint and brushes. Donate your unused supplies today!
